The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a new medication called Teklamo to treat high blood pressure. Teklamo is a combination of Tekturna (the successor to the drug Diovan) and the widely used calcium channel blocker Norvasc (amlodipine). The FDA’s approval was based on clinical trial data that showed Teklamo significantly reduced blood pressure compared to Tekturna or Norvasc alone.
